About XML UKXML UK is the United Kingdom chapter of the International SGML/XML Users’ Group (ISUG). The main objective of the group is to share information and experience concerning the use of XML and related standards, which we do primarily through our meetings programme. We also represent our members’ interests in relevant standards activities in the UK. (We are represented on BSI Technical Committee IST/41. Our chairman, Francis Cave, also chairs this Committee.) XML UK was formed (as SGML UK) at an inaugural meeting in London in March 1992 by a group of British SGML users and supporters who had been meeting regularly under the auspices of ISUG since its foundation in 1984. In July 2004 XML UK was formally constituted and registered in the UK as a company limited by guarantee. The company has a Board of Directors, which includes: Day-to-day administration of member services and events is provided by Name 5. |
