Adjustability
Craftmatic beds are designed to support the natural shape of your body to maximise comfort. The bed has a remote control and motor which can be used to adjust the bed into different comfortable positions to offer support to the important parts of your body and allow your muscles to relax properly. Blood circulation to legs is improved by leg elevation. As the body’s weight is distributed more evenly, breathing may be improved. The contoured position may allow you to lie on you back all night. The semi-fowler or fetal position is a position often adopted by users of comfortable lounge chairs and can be far more comfortable than the flat position imposed by an ordinary flat bed. The craftmatic bed has a low voltage, “control wand” that contains the main controls for the bed. As well as other functions, it adjusts the head and foot of the bed up and down. Some models have a memory function that can be used to store your “preferred” positions. Some beds also have dual controls so that each half of the bed can be positioned or adjusted independently of the other side – allowing each sleep partner to select their own chosen preference without affecting the other.

A variety of massage options are available, depending on the model, such as wave massage with dual variable speed options and a timer that will automatically stop the massage after a defined period of time. Quiet and powerful massage motors can gently lull you off to a relaxing sleep after which they can turn off automatically.
